Possible Anderson Elementary Site Plan with Addition
ANDERSON ELEMENTARY
Building Addition + Site Improvements
-
The new main office will be located so that it has good visibility over the parking lots and drop off loops. The main entry will be designed to direct visitors into the office prior to having access to other areas of the building. The current main office at Anderson is located at the center of the building and does not have a direct connection with the entry vestibule.
-
Construct a new addition to allow for all K-5th grade students in the district to be housed at Anderson Elementary. This would allow for the 3rd-5th graders to be moved over from Ryan Elementary.
-
The new gymnasium included as part of the addition will be sized to accommodate a 50’x84’ basketball court giving the district an additional location for evening athletic events, practices or community events.
Building Renovations
-
Interior renovation for the expansion of the cafeteria and serving areas to support the larger student population of the building.
-
Mechanical equipment replacement for more efficient and consistent heating and air conditioning throughout the building.
-
Building temperature controls system replacement for better control of mechanical systems and monitoring of energy use.
-
Electrical infrastructure upgrades to support the addition of air conditioning in the building.
-
Exterior window and door replacement to create a more energy efficient building environment.

Stadium Renovations
-
Construct a new 8-lane track. The current track is a 6-lane track (yardage measurement) that does not allow for events to occur at the facility due to athlete safety. The 8-lane track (metric measurement) will allow the facility to support MHSAA sanctioned events in the future.
-
Replacement of stadium lighting with new LED lighting mounted on concrete poles.
Tennis Court Replacement
-
Replace the existing failing tennis courts with new post-tensioned concrete courts for long-term durability.
